Charge-Up Bolus is a natural herbal bolus formulated to support newborn lethargic calves and cows experiencing milk fever.

At calving, cows are commonly low on calcium. As a result, newborn calves may also be born with low calcium levels, leading to weakness, depression, and poor vitality in the critical first hours of life. Charge-Up Bolus provides targeted calcium and botanical support to help get weak or depressed newborn calves off to a stronger start.

For weak or depressed calves, administer 1 to 2 boluses at birth, depending on the size of the calf, followed by 1 more bolus in 12 hours. Always apply a lubricant such as colostrum to the bolus before administration to make swallowing easier.

Important: Do not administer boluses to calves that cannot hold their head up and swallow on their own.

Gypsum and calcium carbonate provide readily available calcium to help address low calcium levels in newborn calves and fresh cows. Directions
